The Doctoral Qualifying Written Exam for students enrolled in the Physics Doctoral Program at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Yıldız Technical University, for the Spring 2025–2026 semester will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Physics Lab E-Z06. The
written exam will consist of a total of 6 questions drawn from Pools 1 and 2, as listed below.

FIZ5101 – Advanced Statistical Physics 1

FIZ5107 – Applied Mathematical Methods in Physics 1
FIZ6107 – Applied Solid-State Physics 1

FIZ5105 – Methods of Numerical Analysis in Physics I

* Students must answer 4 questions from Pool 1 and 2 questions from Pool 2.
* The 6 answered questions will be graded on a scale of 100 points.
* The written exam will last a maximum of 120 minutes.
* To pass the written exam, students must score at least 70 points.
Students who pass the written exam will take their oral qualifying exams before a Doctoral Qualifying Committee formed by their advisors on a date and time to be determined by their advisors between April 24, 2026, and May 15, 2026.
